He likes cookies, coffee, machines, cult movies, old toys and other retro stuff. He already made comic strips for Vice Magazine, murals for Converse, Belgian city maps, CD covers for Antwerp rock band Codasync, festival posters and other numerous illustrations/animations. He draws on anything you put into his hands and is most happy when his work makes you smile.

Kris Van Alphen studierte Animation unter Raoul Servais an der Königlichen Akademie der Schönen Kunste in Gent in Belgien.

Er wirkte mit an der Gestaltung von Filmen wie „Asterix und der knallende Kessel“, „Charlie, Alle Hunde kommen in den Himmel“, „Rock-a-doodle“ von Don Bluth, „The Waterpeople“ von Paul Driessen, „Caroline in the City“ von Bob Blechman und „The Message“ von Raimund Krumme.

Er wohnt seit 15 Jahren in Berlin-Kreuzberg und führte die Animationsregie für „Lars, der kleine Eisbär“ 1 & 2, „Lauras Stern“ 1 & 2 und „Kleiner Dodo“, alle für Rothkirch, Cartoon-Film.

Im Moment arbeitet er freiberuflich für „Kleinee Rabe Socke“ und wird demnächst bei Paul Driessens neuestem Film als Co-Regisseur mitwirken.

In der Ausstellung sind eigene Arbeiten und Filme von Kris Van Alphen zu sehen.

Raimund Krumme arbeitet als unabhängiger Zeichentrick-Filmer und als Regisseur für Werbefilme. Gezeigt werden Stills aus den Filmen Seiltänzer, Kreuzung Passage, Message und Skizzen zu seinem neuen Projekt: Etuden zu Samuel Becketts Verwaiser.

Die Filme erhielten viele internationale Preise und zwei wurden mit dem Bundesfilmpreis ausgezeichnet.

Sinan Güngör
Trickfilmzeichner und Produzent. Seit 1981 lebte er in Berlin und ist im Trickfilmbereich tätig. Er  produziert Zeichentrickfilme für verschiedene  Sender, unter anderem den WDR.
Er hat u.a. an Animationsfilmen wie Lars der kleine Eisbär, die Sendung mit der Maus Maus, Belly das Hasenmädchen mitgewirkt.

In 1967 he was invited to London, UK, to work on George Dunning’s THE YELLOW SUBMARINE.

In 1970 Paul Driessen emigrated to Canada and began freelancing, animating his personal short films for the National Film Board of Canada.

Since 1976 he also animated and directed many of his films for independent producers in Holland.

In the late eighties Paul Driessen began teaching at the Gesamthochschule Kassel in Germany. Under his guidance his students have won two Oscars.
Besides making animated films,  Paul Driessen wrote and illustrated children’s books, typical of the style which characterizes the rest of his work; most of them were published in English and French by Les Editions 400 coups in Montreal.
Up to now Paul Driessen has won over 70 international awards for his films.

His film 3MISSES earned him an Oscar nomination in 2000.
In 1987 ASIFA Hollywood presented the ANNIE AWARD to him for “his distinguished contribution to the art of animation”.

In 1994, at the Ottawa Animation Festival, the International Association of Animated Films gave Paul Driessen the ASIFA-International “Life Achievement Award”.

In 2002, the Zagreb International Animation Festival gave him another “Life Achievement Award”.

In October 2005,  in Kracow, Poland, he was given the “Special Golden Dinosaur Award for an outstanding artist and teacher”.
